Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) — Merit & Artistry Scholarship Recipient

Date

Fall 2026

Our client received an official admission offer from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) for the Fall 2026 Bachelor of Fine Arts program. The student was awarded a highly competitive merit scholarship package totaling $22,000 per year, consisting of the Merit Achievement Award ($10,000/year) and the Excellence in Artistry Award ($12,000/year). This confirms the student’s formal acceptance into the upcoming cohort and recognition of their artistic potential, portfolio quality, and academic achievement.

The scholarship offer will be applied annually throughout the four-year program, amounting to up to $88,000 in total financial support. The student also received an Early Action acknowledgement award from the admissions office.

The BFA program at MICA is known for its interdisciplinary studio environment, emphasis on portfolio development, and strong integration of contemporary art practices. Students benefit from access to advanced facilities, faculty mentorship, and a collaborative creative community that prepares them for professional careers in art, design, and related fields.

Kim Consulting guided the student through portfolio strategy, project curation, SlideRoom sequencing, essays, and submission timing. We are currently supporting the family with next-step planning, including the tuition deposit timeline, financial aid review, and comparison of offers from other institutions.
