Medical University of the Americas (MUA) offers a 6-Year BSc/MD Program designed for students who wish to begin medical education directly after completing high school or an equivalent qualification.

The program combines a 2-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) phase with a 4-year Doctor of Medicine (MD) curriculum, creating an integrated pathway to medical education.

During the first two years, students complete foundational coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and other pre-medical sciences.

The MD portion includes basic medical sciences such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and microbiology. Students also prepare for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1 during this phase.

In the clinical years, students participate in clinical rotations and patient-care training while preparing for USMLE Step 2 CK.

According to MUA, the program accepts applicants from a variety of educational backgrounds, including U.S. and Canadian high schools, A-Level pathways, IGCSE/O-Level systems, and other international secondary education qualifications.

The university offers multiple intake periods throughout the year, including January, May, and September entries.

Students who complete the MD program may pursue residency application pathways in accordance with the regulations and requirements of the countries where they seek postgraduate medical training.
