Seattle Colleges International Student Update: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027

Seattle Colleges is a public higher education system located in Seattle, Washington.

It consists of three colleges:

  • North Seattle College

  • Seattle Central College

  • South Seattle College


Programs for International Students

Seattle Colleges offers the following programs for international students:

  • University Transfer

  • High School Completion Plus

  • Career Training

  • IP Short-Term Certificate

  • Institute of English

  • eLearning


The University Transfer program allows students to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree at Seattle Colleges before transferring to a four-year college or university.


Seattle Colleges also maintains Transfer Admission Guarantee agreements with a number of four-year institutions. Students must meet the participating institution’s requirements regarding credits, GPA, English proficiency, and coursework. Eligible universities and majors vary by agreement.


High School Completion Plus allows eligible students to complete the requirements for both an associate degree and a Washington State high school diploma.

Career Training offers certificate and degree programs focused on professional and technical education.


The IP Short-Term Certificate program allows international students to take college-level courses and earn academic credits during a shorter period of study.


The Institute of English provides English-language instruction at different proficiency levels.


eLearning offers online courses and associate degree options that students can complete from outside the United States.
