When I first entered the world of international education consulting, I was struck by a troubling reality—many agencies prioritized profits over students.

I saw countless cases where students were guided toward universities not because they were the best fit, but because they were part of commission-based agreements with education agencies. Instead of providing unbiased, strategic guidance, these agencies often pushed schools that financially benefited them, leaving students and families misinformed, unprepared, and ultimately disappointed.

On top of that, the process lacked transparency. Students had little to no control over their applications. In many cases, they weren’t even the ones submitting their own materials—consultants managed everything behind the scenes, stripping them of agency in one of the most important decisions of their lives.

This lack of integrity and transparency in the industry frustrated me. I knew students deserved better.
